Ian Jones is a physical limnologist at the University of Stirling, Stirling, Scotland UK. Previously he worked at the Center for Ecology and Hydrology in Lancaster and the School of the Environment at Leeds University. His research has focused on the energy fluxes at the air-water interface, their impact on physical processes and the impact of these physical processes on lake ecology. He has been working with in situ high resolution lake data for more than 15 years, is a member of the GLEON Collaborative Climate Committee and was a Core member of the EU COST Action, NETLAKE.
